That milestone sits atop a scene that runs the full length of the boot - Piedmontese luxury and white truffles at one end, honest handmade pasta and Neapolitan pizza at the other, with villa hideaways, riverside hotel rooms and 56th-floor rooftops in between.
What sets Bangkok's Italian rooms apart is the calibre of the chefs drawn here. Bombana of three-star Otto e Mezzo, Paulo Airaudo with six Michelin stars to his name, and Mauro Colagreco of three-star Mirazur have all planted flags, while chef-owners such as Christian Martena at Clara and the long-standing crews at Enoteca and La Bottega di Luca keep the everyday standard high. 1. Enoteca (Sukhumvit 27)
Enoteca Italiana has been a fixture of the Bangkok Italian scene for years, half restaurant and half hidden wine bar tucked down Sukhumvit Soi 27 near Asok. The name means wine library, and it earns it: the list runs to nearly 400 bottles with a serious spine of Barolo and every Italian region represented. It held a Michelin star from 2020 to 2023 and is still widely regarded as one of the strongest Northern Italian kitchens in the city.
The cooking is largely traditional, built on ingredients flown in from Europe and given a modern twist, and served in an intimate, low-lit room that has long made it a go-to for special occasions and anniversaries. It is the sort of place where the wine pairing is half the reason to come - settle in, let the sommelier lead, and treat it as a long evening.

2. Clara (Yen Akat)
Clara is chef-owner Christian Martena's contemporary Italian restaurant, set in a former art gallery within Yenakart Villa in the quiet Yen Akat lanes. A manicured lawn leads to a Bauhaus-inspired space of clean geometric lines and floor-to-ceiling glass, and the room is routinely called one of the most beautiful in Bangkok. It has been in the Michelin Guide since 2021 and was named the 23rd best Italian restaurant in the world by 50 Top Italy in 2025.
Raised in Puglia, Martena cooks to a philosophy of minimalism - rarely more than three or four ingredients on a plate, each one pulling its weight. The result is high-end Italian defined by lightness and precision rather than heft, recently recognised with Gambero Rosso's Tre Forchette and its Best Italian Restaurant Outside Italy 2026 nod. For a modern Italian evening with real design credentials, nothing else in the city looks or tastes quite like it.

3. Cannubi by Umberto Bombana (Silom)
Cannubi made history in 2026 as the first Italian restaurant in Thailand to earn a Michelin star, set on the lobby level of the reimagined Dusit Thani within Dusit Central Park near Silom. It is the Bangkok project of Umberto Bombana, whose Hong Kong flagship Otto e Mezzo is the only three-Michelin-starred Italian restaurant outside Italy, and it is named for the famed Cannubi hill of Barolo in Piedmont - a clear signal of where its heart lies.
Day to day the kitchen is run by Bombana's longtime protege, executive chef Andrea Susto, who builds classically rooted dishes refined with contemporary technique across a la carte, tasting and set-lunch menus. A celebrated white-truffle menu honours Bombana's reputation as the King of White Truffles, and a 350-label cellar backs it all up, while the two-level room looks out over the hotel's dramatic eight-storey waterfall. This is Italian fine dining at its most luxurious in Bangkok.

4. La Bottega di Luca (Thonglor)
La Bottega di Luca has been a Thonglor institution since 2008, set on the second floor of The Terrace 49 on Sukhumvit Soi 49. Founded by chef Luca Appino, a genuine trailblazer of Italian dining in Bangkok, it built its name on rustic-yet-elegant cooking and honest, no-frills dishes made from fresh, carefully chosen ingredients. It is the neighbourhood Italian that locals send visitors to.
The kitchen is now led by head chef Marco Avesani, a Verona native who joined in 2022 after time with the three-Michelin-starred Roberto's in Dubai and J'AIME in Bangkok. His arrival has kept the menu of handmade pastas and seasonal classics ticking over with quiet consistency. With a cosy indoor room and an outdoor terrace, it is a relaxed but reliably good choice for Italian in Thonglor.

5. Riva del Fiume (Chao Phraya Riverfront)
Riva del Fiume is the Italian room at the Four Seasons on the Chao Phraya, a ground-floor restaurant that pairs handmade pasta and wood-fired Neapolitan pizza with terrace tables right on the river. Under executive chef Andrea Accordi and chef Enrico Maritan, it takes authenticity seriously in an almost obsessive way - a chef from Verona, tuna from Japan, capers from a single Sicilian island, and Italian seeds grown into produce here in Thailand.
The room itself splits between breezy riverside seating and a high-ceilinged, open-kitchen dining room, so it flexes from a casual lunch to a celebratory dinner. It is the polished, dependable riverside Italian - the choice when you want genuine Italian cooking, a proper pizza and one of the best water views in the city without stepping up to a full tasting menu.

6. Sartoria by Paulo Airaudo (Sathorn)
Sartoria opened in 2024 on the 56th floor of the EA Rooftop at The Empire, the largest and highest lifestyle rooftop destination in Bangkok, reachable straight from Chong Nonsi BTS. It is the city project of Paulo Airaudo, who has amassed six Michelin stars across a global group of restaurants, and it comes with one of the coolest open kitchens in town and some of the best views. It landed at number 9 on BK's Top Tables 2026.
The concept nods to the first tailor of Florence and the Tuscan tradition of suit-making - hence Sartoria - and the cooking follows suit, sharp and contemporary. Airaudo works the finest seasonal Thai and Japanese produce, including pristine fish and seafood, into a tapestry of Italian tastes and textures cut with knife-edge precision. For high-floor modern Italian with a serious chef behind it, this is the standout new address.

7. Cote by Mauro Colagreco (Charoenkrung Riverfront)
Cote is the Bangkok restaurant of Mauro Colagreco, the only Argentine chef in the world with three Michelin stars, earned at Mirazur on the French-Italian border. Set inside Capella Bangkok on the Charoenkrung riverfront, it was elevated to two Michelin stars - the top of Bangkok's Italian-leaning field - and topped BK's Top Tables 2026 at number 1, with a place on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants for good measure.
The cooking is a contemporary reinterpretation of the Riviera that runs from Nice to Genoa, blending Mediterranean, French and Italian influences, executed by Italian chef Davide Garavaglia, who spent years at Colagreco's flagship. The light-drenched room and panoramic Chao Phraya views make it a serene, luxurious setting for one of the city's very best tasting menus. 8. La Scala (Sathorn)
La Scala is the refined Italian dining room of The Sukhothai Bangkok, set within the landmark hotel's tranquil gardens off South Sathorn Road and recognised in the Michelin Guide. A curved, warmly lit ceiling, dark timber and a striking wine cellar frame an intimate open kitchen, where the chef de cuisine builds innovative yet rooted Italian cooking on the finest ingredients, many sourced directly from Italy. Isola by Signor Sassi brings the glamour of London's Knightsbridge to the G floor of Gaysorn Village on Ploenchit Road, a San Carlo group room and sister to the original Signor Sassi. Rossini's is the long-running Italian dining room at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, an easy walk from BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit. Styled after an enchanting Tuscan villa, it blends trattoria warmth with hotel-grade polish and holds a Michelin Plate, and it has a steady reputation as one of the more dependable Italian rooms in the Sukhumvit core.

15. Chim Chim (Siam)
Chim Chim is a bright, art-filled all-day cafe and dining room on Rama 1 Road in Pathum Wan, tucked into the ground floor of the Siam@Siam Design Hotel a short stroll from Siam and National Stadium BTS. The kitchen serves Italian-inspired comfort food with a creative local twist - stone-baked pizzas, handmade pastas and generously plated dishes made to be passed around the table - from breakfast and lunch through dinner and an all-day brunch. Welcoming, unpretentious and endlessly shareable, with photogenic desserts and Thai-produce drinks, it is the casual end of the city's Italian spectrum.
