Cannubi made history in 2026 as the first Italian restaurant in Thailand to earn a Michelin star
Cannubi made history in 2026 as the first Italian restaurant in Thailand to earn a Michelin star, set on the lobby level of Dusit Thani Bangkok near Silom. It is chef Umberto Bombana's Bangkok project, and it takes its name from the famed Cannubi hill of Barolo in Piedmont, a nod to where its heart lies.
The two-level dining room looks out over the hotel's nine-story waterfall, a striking backdrop for the ambition of the cooking.
Day to day, the kitchen is led by executive chef Andrea Susto, who builds classically rooted Italian dishes refined with contemporary technique across a la carte, tasting and set-lunch menus. A 350-label wine cellar, curated for character and heritage as much as prestige, backs it all.
This is Italian fine dining at its most luxurious in Bangkok, suited to a serious celebration or a landmark dinner. The room serves lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday, closing between services before reopening for dinner, so it is worth timing a visit around the seating you want. Reserve well ahead either way.
