Osteria Savio Volpe is the East Vancouver room that turned the Fraserhood into a dining destination, a rustic Italian osteria built around a wood-fired grill and pasta made fresh every morning. Recognized in the Michelin Guide, it has been one of the toughest tables in the city to book for years, convivial and loud in the best way.
The restaurant sits at 615 Kingsway and reads like a classic osteria: warm, regional Italian cooking with the wood grill and rotisserie at its heart. It comes from restaurateur Paul Grunberg, Mark Perrier and designer Craig Stanghetta. Pasta is made by hand daily, fatta a mano in casa, while meat, poultry and fish are finished over live fire.
