Chic Nonna · Restaurant · Dubai
Chef Vito Mollica's Italian dining room in DIFC's Gate Avenue, open since 2021.
Chic Nonna sits in DIFC's Gate Avenue, an Italian dining room led by chef Vito Mollica. It opened in 2021 as the first Chic Nonna; Mollica's second location, in Florence, opened in March 2022, a year later. The interiors blend classic Italian design with modern touches, aiming for what the restaurant calls the epitome of Italian elegance, and the room has become a fixture of the Gate Avenue after-work and weekend circuit.
The kitchen serves handcrafted pastas and seafood alongside antipasti built on fresh, seasonal ingredients, in the Tuscan-influenced style Mollica is known for. Service leans toward the theatrical, matching the polish of the room, with a warm, welcoming feel despite the fine-dining pedigree behind it.
Lunch here runs at a calmer, business pace, and the evening picks up energy as the night goes on and the DIFC after-work crowd arrives. It draws Dubai regulars and visitors who know the chef's other kitchens, along with a steady weekend dinner crowd.
