Blue Marlin sits right on the beach at Cala Jondal in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, and it runs from morning to night: breakfast from 10am on the terrace and 11am on the beach, beds on the sand through the afternoon, and music that builds into the evening. A boat and dinghy service is available with an advance reservation for guests arriving from the water.
Every night of the week has its own event. Showtime Sunday, now in its third decade, has brought DJs such as Pete Tong and Steve Lawler to the seafront terrace with Khenya alongside, Fridays belong to Elysium and Saturdays to We Love Saturdays. On event days the party picks up around 5pm and runs outside until 11pm, and from Thursday to Sunday the indoor disco opens at 11pm and carries on for a few hours.
The food runs across several menus. The restaurant serves hand-cut Iberian Bellota ham, bluefin tuna tartare, red prawn carpaccio and oysters, and a separate sushi menu covers sashimi platters and rolls like the black tuna roll and the aka ebi roll with caviar. Sushi and sashimi are also on the beach menu, so they come straight to the beds on the sand.
