Tabu London is a Mayfair nightclub at 1 Dover Street, London W1S 4LD, a few steps from Green Park station, billed as the art of the after-hours. The concept carries the room from Dover Street into the back streets of Tokyo, staged as an underground Shinjuku alley that feels a world away from the polish of the street outside, with a life-size Pikachu among the surprises through the night.
It is split across two levels. The Clubhouse upstairs is a Japanese-inspired lounge with bespoke furniture, a bar and artwork, and the club sits below, where the night brings showstopping performances and surprises around every corner. Clubhouse also runs as the venue's private-hire space for corporate events and private celebrations, with its own curated house music program.
The club opens Wednesday through Saturday from 11pm, with a license running to 3am, and holds up to 190 guests standing. Its island sister is Tabu Mykonos in Chora, which carries the same Japanese-inspired concept through the Greek summer.
