The Virgil is a cocktail bar and entertainment venue at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Virgil Avenue, on the edge of Silver Lake. It splits into two rooms: the Stage Side, with live music, DJs, dancing, comedy and special events on select nights, and the B Side, which hosts DJs and dancing every weekend.
The mix runs from comedy and live bands to drag nights, birthdays and DJ parties, and the venue opens only on nights with an event, so the calendar sets the hours. The fall 2026 calendar includes the Stayin Alive and Off The Wall dance parties, the 4EVER indie pop night, La Casa Del Perreo, a house and hyperpop party from STAR 404 and Noche de Rock en Espanol y Baile, with most nights running from 9 or 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The bar pours fresh, creative cocktails with an emphasis on spirit selection, plus beer on tap and in bottles and cans. Bottle service comes with a choice of three mixers, garnishes and a full table setup.
For groups there are up to five tables for as many as 25 people, with a dedicated server, no wait at the door for up to 25 guests and free access to most ticketed events. Both rooms can also be rented together for private parties. Everyone must be 21 or over with a valid ID, and rideshare is recommended.
