Basque and Spanish cooking with Mexican product, Torre Virreyes
Aitana is the Mediterranean dining room on the first floor of Torre Virreyes, the Pedregal 24 tower on the Lomas de Chapultepec and Molino del Rey line. It opened in 2016 as chef Alberto Ituarte's project, described by the building itself as a space that continues to set trends, and it has settled into the role of lunch and dinner room for the offices and houses around it.
The cooking is Basque and Spanish tradition rebuilt with Mexican product: a pintxos list, Iberico ham, croquettes and classic Spanish plates sit alongside grilled fish, chops and rice courses built from Mexican ingredients.
The room is marble and tile with white glove service and a wide outdoor patio, and it seats both a business lunch crowd and a long dinner crowd from the houses and offices around Torre Virreyes. It also holds private space for groups. Doors open at 1pm and run to 1am Monday through Saturday, and 1pm to 6pm on Sunday.
