Bella Aurora is Elena Reygadas's Italian restaurant in Roma Norte, the sister concept to Rosetta and Lardo. Reygadas cooked at Locanda Locatelli in London before opening Rosetta, and was named the World's Best Female Chef by the 50 Best list in 2023, so the Italian instincts here are first hand.
The house sits on Puebla, and the draw is a plant filled terrace and garden that most people rate as one of the prettiest dining rooms in the neighborhood. Breakfast starts at seven in the morning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and at eight the rest of the week, built on the same bread and coffee as the group's bakeries, then the kitchen moves through lunch and dinner into contemporary Italian cooking: house made pastas including a ricotta, spinach and sage ravioli, panzanella, wood fired pizza and a short list of mains.
It is listed in the MICHELIN Guide for Cuauhtemoc, without a star. Expect a young Roma crowd, a lot of natural light and a room that stays comfortable for a three hour lunch.
