Bellini has occupied the 45th floor of the World Trade Center tower since 1994 and holds a Guinness World Record as the largest revolving restaurant in the world. The floor completes a full turn in roughly an hour and forty-five minutes, so a single dinner delivers a 360 degree pass over Mexico City, from Reforma and Chapultepec to the volcanoes on a clear evening.
The kitchen runs an international menu built around surf and turf, with a live lobster tank and grilled steaks as the signatures, backed by a deep wine, spirits and cocktail list and desserts that change with the season. Piano music is part of the room.
The dining room is formal in an old-school way, with white linen, banquettes along the glass and tables angled toward the view. It is a special-occasion room above all, booked for anniversaries, proposals and corporate dinners, and it sits in Napoles above the WTC complex just off Insurgentes Sur.
Bellini takes reservations through OpenTable. Ask for a perimeter table when booking: every seat eventually faces out because of the rotation, but the outer ring holds the cleanest sightlines throughout the meal.
