La Buena Barra is a grill and seafood house on Aristoteles in Polanco. The group started in downtown Monterrey as La Barra Antigua, relaunched as La Buena Barra in San Pedro Garza Garcia on February 14, 2012, and opened the Polanco dining room on November 23, 2013. The northern Mexican grill style carries through the kitchen: charcoal, salt blocks and chiles piquin define the cooking.
In the years since, the concept expanded to Monterrey and Cancun, and the company grew into Grupo Barra with two additional brands, Doble B and La Gran Barra, each built on the same northern Mexican foundation. The Polanco kitchen keeps prime cuts and seafood as the throughline of the menu, all cooked over charcoal in the style that built the original reputation back in San Pedro Garza Garcia.
The dining room draws a steady Polanco lunch and dinner crowd, and a digital menu is available by QR code at every table so guests can browse before a server arrives.
