Pacific oysters and wood grill, open late in Roma
La Docena Oyster Bar and Grill started in Guadalajara and brought its raw bar and wood grill to Roma Norte, on the corner of Alvaro Obregon and Frontera. The format is straightforward: a long iced bar of oysters, clams and king crab landed from Mexican coasts, and a grill working through octopus, whole fish and beef.
Chef Tomas Bermudez oversees sourcing, working with local producers and the Mexican Pacific, organic vegetables and grass-fed beef. Oysters and clams are served live, grilled, Rockefeller style or smoked, and the kitchen is known for its Po Boy sandwiches on baguette alongside cuts such as wagyu chuleton, grass-fed New York and flat iron. The group has been recognized on the Latin America's 50 Best Discovery list.
The room is loud and bistro styled, tiled and marble topped,
