Mediterranean plates inside Alma 390 on Paseo de la Reforma
Loretta Chic Bistrot now operates from the second floor of Alma 390, the dining project at Paseo de la Reforma 390 in the Juarez neighborhood. The restaurant relocated here after closing its original home in San Angel, where it opened in 2017 under wine director Laura Santander, not far from the same team's earlier restaurant, Eloise Chic Cuisine, which had opened in 2010.
The kitchen works a modern, fresh take on Mediterranean cooking with North African influences and local Mexican ingredients, built around carefully selected ingredients and refined technique. The menu is written to be shared across the table, running from antipasti and house-made pasta to fish, meat and vegetarian plates.
The wine list has earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, built around roughly 200 labels weighted toward Spain, Italy and France, with additions from less expected regions such as Bulgaria, Lebanon, Armenia, Slovenia and Croatia.
