Grill it yourself Korean barbecue in Lomas
Midam is the Korean barbecue room that made grilling at the table a Lomas de Chapultepec habit. The name means beautiful story in Korean, and the space on Calle Pedregal is built around that idea: a designed, contemporary dining room where every table carries its own grill and the extraction is good enough that you leave without wearing the meal.
The restaurant is the project of Daniel Lee, who was born in Korea, came to Mexico as a child and grew up in his parents' traditional Korean restaurant before opening his own in 2019. His approach is deliberately tropicalised: the cuts, marinades and banchan are Korean, but the chilli work and several of the sauces are pitched squarely at a Mexican palate.
