Sonoran grill and hot-rock beef in Bosques
Mochomos is a Sonoran grill concept that originated in Hermosillo, and this Arcos Bosques room opened in Mexico City in September 2023. It sits inside Paseo Arcos Bosques in Bosques de las Lomas, a short walk from the towers that supply most of its lunch trade.
The draw is beef. Marbled cuts arrive at the table on a hot stone so you finish them yourself, a piece of theater that also lets everyone cook to their own point. Around that sit the kitchen's well known sauces, a long list of starters, pork done several ways, and a serious seafood section that draws on the Sea of Cortez instead of treating Sonora as landlocked.
The room is designed to hold a crowd without shouting: warm materials, a big terrace, a wine list that mixes Mexican labels with international bottles, and service quick enough for a working lunch but happy to let a Saturday dinner run to closing. It works equally for business tables, family celebrations and the late group that arrives after the cinema downstairs.
