Sonoran grill and hot-rock beef in Bosques
Mochomos brought Sonoran grill cooking to Mexico City in August 2017 and has been busy ever since. The concept was born in Hermosillo and belongs to Grupo Costeno; the Arcos Bosques room sits inside Paseo Arcos Bosques in Bosques de las Lomas, a short walk from the towers that supply most of its lunch trade.
The draw is beef. Marbled cuts arrive at the table on a searing stone so you finish them yourself, a piece of theatre that also lets everyone cook to their own point. Around that sit the group's much-copied secret sauces, a long list of starters, pork done several ways, and a serious seafood section that borrows from the Sea of Cortez rather than pretending Sonora is landlocked.
