Quattro Gastronomia Italiana is the Mexico City edition of a northern Italian restaurant made famous in Miami Beach by the Carro brothers, twins Fabrizio and Nicola, who grew up in Alessandria in Piedmont. The room inside the JW Marriott Santa Fe carries the same brief: polished and formal, built around a full carta of Northern Italian cooking, not a hotel-restaurant afterthought.
The kitchen, guided by chef Stefano Ferrero, builds the menu around house-made pasta, Mediterranean seafood and Angus Prime cuts, with risotto and fish among the daily specials. Beyond the core carta a rotating regional menu moves up and down Italy with the seasons; from November it turns to Piedmont and the white truffle of Alba, the season the kitchen is best known for.
The dining room sits inside the JW Marriott Santa Fe at Av. Santa Fe 160, minutes from Centro Santa Fe, with a private dining area that makes it a regular choice for corporate lunches in the Santa Fe business district. Dress runs smart casual.
Service runs from 1pm to 10pm Monday through Saturday, and 1pm to 6pm on Sunday.
