Late-night Japanese sushi and grill on Masaryk
Ryoshi is the Polanco outpost of Grupo Costeno's Japanese restaurant-bar, planted on Masaryk 111 and built to work as both a serious sushi room and a place people stay past midnight. The menu mixes Japanese and Asian technique with Latin American touches across nigiri, entrees and shared plates.
Regulars order the spider roll, the Amaterasu, the salmon lover maki, a wagyu roll, and the macadamia pie to close. The drinks list runs deep on sake, whisky and wine, which is the other reason tables here turn slowly, and the room draws a mixed crowd of Polanco regulars and out of town guests looking for a late seating.
The room stays open past midnight most nights: 12:30pm to midnight on Monday and Sunday, to 1am Tuesday through Thursday, and to 2am on Friday and Saturday, which makes Ryoshi one of the few Polanco addresses where a proper dinner and a late night are the same booking. The house received the Six Star Diamond Award in 2021, and the group runs sister rooms in Monterrey, Cancun and Puebla.
