Pacific coast seafood in a Four Seasons courtyard
Zanaya is the seafood restaurant of the Four Seasons Mexico City, and its best asset is the setting: a hacienda-style courtyard set back from Paseo de la Reforma, planted with mature trees and built around a fountain, so the traffic outside disappears the moment you sit down. It is one of the few genuinely quiet outdoor dining rooms in the Cuauhtemoc corridor.
The kitchen cooks Mexican Pacific coast food. Ceviches and aguachiles lead the menu, backed by whole fish, grilled catch and shellfish handled simply, with regional chiles and citrus doing most of the seasoning. Artisanal produce and local spices are used deliberately rather than as decoration, and the raw section changes with what the boats send.
The restaurant works across the whole day, which is unusual for a hotel seafood room.
