Carlotta is the sky bar of The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City, on the thirty-eighth floor of the tower at Paseo de la Reforma 509. The room is glass on every side and it faces the Bosque de Chapultepec: the castle on its hill, the lake and the museums below it, the tree canopy running west, and Reforma cutting a lit diagonal back toward the Angel. It is one of the few rooftops in the city that puts the park, not the office skyline, at the center of the view.
Inside it is smaller and calmer than the height suggests, closer to a hotel cocktail salon than a party terrace: velvet seating, warm lamps, a marble bar and enough space between tables to talk. Samos, the hotel's contemporary Mexican restaurant, occupies the same floor behind the same windows, so drinks and a full dinner are one trip up.
The list is built on classic cocktail technique with Mexican spirits at the center, agave-forward signatures, a deep mezcal and tequila selection, and Mexican bites made for sharing.
