Superior Ingredients is a Williamsburg dance club with two very different spaces under one roof. It lives in the old Output building at 74 Wythe Avenue, on the corner of North 12th Street near the Brooklyn waterfront, and splits into The Room, the split-level main club, and The Roof, a rooftop with the Manhattan skyline behind the DJ. It draws a dance-music crowd that comes for the music first.
The Room keeps the bones of a building that dates to 1929 and once housed a spice-blending factory called Superior Ingredients, the name the club carries today. A mezzanine looks down over the dance floor, so the view from above is part of the night.
The Roof is the postcard: a west-facing deck with waterfront and Manhattan skyline views, covered by a retractable glass canopy so events carry on in every season.
