BondST has been a NoHo dinner scene since 1998, serving Japanese-inspired cooking and sushi across three levels of a historic brownstone at 6 Bond Street. More than twenty-five years in, it still draws a see-and-be-seen crowd, the kind of dinner that sets the tone for a night out.
The ground floor holds the BondST Lounge, an intimate space with its own sushi bar, plush banquettes, and cozy alcoves. The main level is a 75-seat dining room anchored by a lively sushi bar, with a busy bar area overlooking cobblestoned Bond Street. Upstairs are a second dining room and a private Tatami Room.
The menu balances Japanese tradition with globally influenced creations, built around a full sushi bar. The signature is the Big Eye Tuna Tarts with creamy ponzu and white truffle oil, alongside broiled Chilean sea bass marinated in saikyo miso. Round out the table with nigiri and sashimi from the counter, Japanese red snapper carpaccio, the sesame-crusted shrimp roll, tuna or spicy crab crispy rice, and cold cha soba. Executive Chef Arturo Capistran and Executive Sushi Chef Shigeru Mikami lead the kitchen.
The dining room and lounge keep the same hours: Sunday and Monday 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, closed on major holidays. Dress is upscale casual, with no shorts, flip-flops, or tank tops. Reservations open 60 days ahead for parties of up to 10, and walk-ins are welcome.
