Airelles palace terrace over Pampelonne, with Cedric Grolet pastry for 2026
La Table de la Messardiere is the panoramic terrace restaurant of Airelles Chateau de la Messardiere, the pink 19th-century palace that crowns the hills above Saint-Tropez. Under crystal chandeliers and a white colonnade, blue-and-white toile linens are set against a wide-open view of the Bay of Pampelonne.
The daytime kitchen is Mediterranean and generous, built around a lavish buffet: a spread of lobster, oysters and fresh fish, meat and fish grilled on the barbecue, and a dessert table that has become the talk of the season. The Sunday seafood lunch is the signature sitting.
For summer 2026 the pastry is signed by Cedric Grolet, the celebrated patissier whose trompe-l'oeil sculpted fruits, giant cookies and viennoiseries appear at breakfast and across the dessert buffet. It is reason enough to come for lunch alone.
Chef Marco Garfagnini oversees the kitchens, and the crowd is the international palace set, with families welcome at the buffet sittings. In the evening the same terrace becomes Le Voltaire, a summer residency of the Parisian institution serving classic French cuisine.
La Table runs seasonally through the summer, with reservations handled on SevenRooms. The terrace is busiest at lunch and on Sunday, so book ahead.
