Bagatelle brings its French Mediterranean restaurant and beach club to Pampelonne Beach in Ramatuelle, set up at Stefano Forever on Chemin de la Matarane, off Les Tamaris. The draw is the long, festive Bagatelle lunch, stretching from noon into the early evening on the sand.
The menu is signed by Chef Rocco Seminara and Executive Chef Bilal Amrani, with desserts from Pastry Chef Manon Santini. Signature plates include sea bass carpaccio tonnato style with crispy Pantelleria capers, the Riviera salad with toasted Provence spelt and avocado, and the Bagatelle tuna tartare with an Espelette pepper vinaigrette. For a table that shares, there is a whole farm chicken baked in a salt crust with tarragon butter, ravioli del plin with seasonal truffle, and caviar by Kaviari with a shot of Beluga vodka on the side.
The restaurant is open from late April to the end of September, daily from noon to 8 p.m. in high season and Thursday to Sunday in the September low season, and the dress code is casual chic. Guests can arrive by car, with paid parking and valet, or by sea with the restaurant's boat valet. Reservations open seven days ahead, and parties of more than 20 are served a set group menu.
