Moody Tongue · Chicago
The world's only Michelin-starred brewery, a tasting menu with beer
Why we recommend Moody Tongue in Chicago
Moody Tongue holds 1 Michelin star and is the world's only Michelin-starred brewery - a genuine one-of-a-kind in the South Loop. Executive Chef James Bingham and owner-brewmaster Jared Rouben pair a refined tasting menu with beers brewed in-house, which makes this unlike any other star in the city.
What to expect in the room and on the menu
The Dining Room is an intimate 28-seat fine-dining space sitting above a working craft brewery, so the meal has a sense of occasion from the first pour. The tasting menu moves through Kaluga caviar, Hokkaido scallop, and Stone Axe Australian Wagyu, with a steamed brioche bread and cheese course that regulars talk about long after. Each course is matched to a beer poured from the brewery below.
