Roberto's Dubai has anchored the Italian dining scene in DIFC since 2012 and reopened at the start of 2025 after a full redesign. It sits in Gate Village Building 1, and now runs as a restaurant, cocktail bar and terrace under a refreshed look and a new culinary direction, keeping the following it built over more than a decade while giving regulars a reason to come back and look again.
The kitchen stays modern Italian: house-made pastas, wood-fired and grilled mains, crudo and antipasti to start, and a raw bar that leans on the day's seafood. Truffle and seasonal produce work their way through the menu when they are at their best, and dishes are built to move between a business lunch and a long dinner, plated with more polish than the room's easy mood suggests.
Scala Bar and Lounge handles the aperitivo and after-dinner hours, mixing classic and Italian-leaning cocktails, and the outdoor terrace looks onto the DIFC towers, one of the better skyline seats in the district when the evenings cool. The interior pairs warm wood and soft lighting with the buzz of a room that fills fast and keeps its momentum through the night.
The crowd is a mix of the financial district by day and a dressed, social set by night, with the terrace and bar carrying the later energy. Weekend tables should be booked two to three weeks ahead, and weekday dinners about a week out.
