London's classic trattoria, reborn beachside at the Four Seasons.
Scalini brings its London pedigree to the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, in the resort's Restaurant Village just off the water in Jumeirah 2. The original opened in Chelsea in 1988 and helped set the template for the classic Italian trattoria in Britain; the Dubai room carries that lineage with Art Deco lines and a warm 1960s trattoria feel.
The kitchen keeps to traditional Italian cooking done properly: handmade pasta, whole fish and veal, a long run of antipasti, and the kind of table-side attention that is old-school hospitality rather than performance. It is a menu built for lingering, ordering a second bottle, and letting the courses arrive at their own pace. The London original earned its name with a devoted celebrity following, and the Dubai kitchen keeps that same generous, unfussy hand.
Service is polished and the crowd skews to regulars, resort guests, and a well-dressed Dubai dinner set. Tables sit close enough to feel the hum of a full room without losing the intimacy of a proper Italian dining room.
Scalini serves daily from noon to midnight, with the beach and the resort gardens a few steps away for a stroll along the water before or after a long dinner. Weekend evenings fill quickly, so a reservation is the surest way in.
