Cipriani Ibiza sits in the east wing of the Ibiza Gran Hotel on Paseo Juan Carlos I, with views over the harbor. It opened in 2012 with an indoor and outdoor restaurant and lounge, bringing the Harry's Bar kitchen from Venice, where the story began in 1931, to the island.
The menu is Harry's Bar classic cuisine. Carpaccio alla Cipriani is the natural start: thin slices of raw beef first served at Harry's Bar and named for the Venetian painter whose reds the dish recalled. Baked white tagliolini with ham, risotto alla primavera, calves liver alla Veneziana and veal piccatine al limone follow, and the Cipriani vanilla meringue cake closes the meal. The Bellini, white peach puree topped with Prosecco, was also first mixed at Harry's Bar, in 1948.
This is a dinner restaurant and a dressed one. Doors open at 8pm and service runs until 2am, and the dress code is smart casual, with no shorts or open shoes for men.
Cipriani Ibiza opens only for the summer, daily from May to September. For a later drink, Socialista Ibiza by Cipriani runs in the same hotel from 11:30pm to 4am, Wednesday to Sunday between June and September.
