A candlelit Italian garden in the citrus groves of San Lorenzo, Ibiza boho-chic at its most beloved.
La Paloma is a family-run Italian restaurant tucked into the citrus groves of San Lorenzo, one of the sleepiest villages in Ibiza's rural north. It opened in 2004 and has become the island's best-loved expression of boho-chic dining, the kind of place people return to year after year.
The cooking is Tuscan at heart, learned in the family kitchen and kept deliberately simple. A short menu changes every week and always runs across fresh pasta, risotto, meat and fish, plus a fully organic vegan dish. Produce is organic where possible, some carried from Italy, much of it local, and some pulled from the restaurant's own garden.
By day you eat on a sunny terrace shaded by orange and lemon trees; when the weather turns, the cosy dining room lights its fireplace. Either way the mood is colorful, relaxed and a little bohemian, closer to a long lunch in a friend's garden than a night out.
Evenings in the candlelit garden, heavy with citrus blossom in spring, are what La Paloma is famous for.
La Paloma takes reservations on its own booking page. This MyRSVP guide covers the room, what it is known for and when to go in Ibiza; use the booking link on this page to reserve direct.
