Villa Mercedes occupies a villa built in 1901 on the promenade of the San Antonio marina, opposite the harbor and a few steps from the nautical club. Tables spread through a garden of cactus, yuccas, palms and ferns, with the sound of water from its fountain and views of the harbor beyond.
The cooking is contemporary Mediterranean, drawing on the sea and the countryside in equal measure: grilled octopus with mashed potatoes, alioli and crispy sweet potato, grilled sea bass with pea and mint cream, a tuna and artichoke rice, popcorn prawns with spicy sauce, and a tomato, strawberry and orange salad among the plates for sharing. Cocktails keep the tables long.
What sets Villa Mercedes apart is the music. Live performers and resident DJs play in the garden through the season, and Saturday evenings in summer 2026 feature flamenco guitarist Paco Fernandez from 9pm. It is a romantic, lingering kind of dinner, and the music is what keeps guests at the table after dessert.
Villa Mercedes is a summer venue, with the kitchen open from 5:30pm to midnight through the season. On the night of Sant Bartomeu, August 24, dinner comes with a view of the fireworks over the bay at midnight.
