12th Knot is the 12th-floor rooftop cocktail bar of Sea Containers London (the former Mondrian) on the South Bank, a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass framing one of the capital's best north-bank panoramas - St Paul's dome dead ahead, with the City towers, the Thames and the Blackfriars bridges spread below. Nautically themed and low-lit, it pairs velvet lounge seating and a marble bar with a small open-air balcony, and turns the sunset over St Paul's into its signature moment.
The drinks are the draw: a curated list of creative and classic cocktails - the martini is a house calling card - alongside Champagne, wine and moreish small plates such as truffle-Parmesan fries. Resident DJs play Thursday to Saturday and there is live music midweek, giving the room a glamorous, after-dark buzz.
