Duck & Waffle is London's original sky-high icon, perched on the 40th floor of Heron Tower at 110 Bishopsgate and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week - the highest all-day restaurant and bar in the capital. The dining room wraps in floor-to-ceiling windows beneath a honeycomb ceiling, with an open kitchen and an indoor-outdoor cocktail bar.
The view sweeps across the City's towers - the Gherkin, Cheesegrater and Walkie Talkie stand almost at eye level, with the Shard, Canary Wharf and the Thames beyond. The kitchen serves broad European and British sharing plates around its namesake dish: crispy confit duck leg on a waffle with fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup, alongside the spicy ox-cheek doughnut, house bread and the sticky toffee waffle.
The bar mixes cocktails through the night, and sunrise and late-night sittings are a signature. Enclosed and climate-controlled, it runs year-round in any weather.
