Spago Beverly Hills is Wolfgang Puck's flagship and the standard-bearer for California cuisine since the original Spago rewrote the rulebook on the Sunset Strip in 1982. The current Canon Drive location has been open since 1997, and Executive Chef Areg Avanessian leads the kitchen with the same market-driven conviction that made the brand famous: whatever California's farms and fishermen are producing at their peak lands on that night's menu.
The dining room was redesigned to feel like a movie star's Benedict Canyon estate, warm and unhurried, comfortable in the way a room that has hosted four decades of film, fashion, and business names tends to be. The outdoor patio is the seat to ask for: a retractable roof, twin fireplaces, olive trees, and string lights overhead.
