Steak 48 opened at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Roxbury Drive in Beverly Hills on January 13, 2023, the steakhouse's first West Coast location. The room is built for a warm, contemporary evening with attentive personal service, and the kitchen works with USDA Prime steaks, the highest-grade Japanese A5 wagyu, and flown-in fresh seafood and shellfish.
Prime steaks are wet aged 28 days and hand cut in house by a master butcher. A 16-ounce New York strip and an 18-ounce bone-in Kansas City strip lead the regular cuts, a 45-day dry-aged bone-in ribeye runs 22 ounces, and a 46-ounce Snake River Farms wagyu tomahawk is sized for the table. A5 Kobe wine-fed New York strip from Hikami Farm is seared and served in 3-ounce portions.
Starters include wagyu beef tartare with deviled egg mousse, Maine lobster escargot with truffle mornay and caviar, and crispy shrimp with sweet Thai chili. The wine collection runs to more than 6,000 bottles, and the bar pours signature cocktails such as the El Tesoro Old Fashioned and the Beverly Rita.
The bar opens at 4pm daily and stays open until 9:45pm Sunday through Thursday and 10:15pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Private dining and event spaces hold up to 65 guests. Athletic wear is not permitted, and collared shirts or sport coats are appreciated. The doors close 15 minutes after the last reservation, and incomplete parties may not be seated.
