Salon Camarena sits inside the Palmas 555 complex in Lomas de Chapultepec and is the most theatrical room on this list. It opened in February 2026 alongside a sister taco concept in the same building, built from the ground up around a single idea: golden-age Mexican television staged as a nightclub.
The concept borrows its name and its whole visual language from Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena, the Mexican engineer behind one of the first color television systems, and the design commits to that fully. The main hall is wrapped in screens on every side of the floor, so a set can shift the room from a black-and-white film reel to full color saturation between songs. Nothing about it is subtle, and that is the point.
The night runs on a curated playlist inside those wraparound screens, moving through decades of pop: Shakira to Whitney Houston, Juan Gabriel to Britney Spears. Thursday is built around 2000s hits, Friday runs Latino, and Saturday is Pop Hits, so the sound changes night to night even though the room and the screens stay the same. It draws a mixed Lomas and Polanco crowd that arrives for dinner-hour drinks and stays into the night.
