Villa Maria is a lively Mexican restaurant on Homero at the corner of Galileo in Polanco, a block from Polanco metro. It has served Mexican food at this address since 1994, making it one of the longer-running restaurants in the neighborhood, and it is built around live music: mariachis play daily, with jarochos and trios rotating through the room.
Executive chef Aldo Aguilar runs a kitchen that moves between traditional and contemporary Mexican cooking, built around guacamole, with chapulines on offer for those who want them, and a wide selection of tacos, in a dining room decorated with Mexican folk motifs throughout.
