The setting leans hard into old-world glamour. The building is a New York City landmark, completed in 1928 as the Panhellenic Tower, and Ophelia pairs its Art Deco glamour with modern mixology. Ask for a seat facing the East River at sunset.
Mixologist Amir Babayoff runs a list that reworks the classics. The Purple Tuxedo, a 1920s take on the martini, the Beekman Classic Martini, The Flapper, and Ophelia's Ascension are the ones to try, with a 90-minute guided Omacocktail tasting of seven small cocktails and four single bites for anyone who wants the full run. Chef Antelmo Ambrosio's kitchen keeps pace with polished bites: mini lobster tacos, tuna tartare spoons, crispy potato bites with caviar, oysters, and grilled lamb chop lollipops.
The room opens at 5 PM nightly and runs until 11 PM Sunday through Wednesday, midnight on Thursday, and 2 AM on Friday and Saturday, when live DJs play from 10 PM and the kitchen stays open until 1 AM. Social Hour runs Monday through Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the bar. Reservations run through OpenTable, and on Friday and Saturday late nights the bar area also takes walk-ins.
