A 39th-floor indoor lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi over the Imperial Palace gardens
The Lounge sits on the 39th floor of Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, at the top of the Otemachi One tower, with a view over the Imperial Palace gardens and the city skyline. It is open every day from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and moves from afternoon tea into an evening of drinks and live music.
The room was designed by Jean-Michel Gathy and DENNISTON: a contemporary space with Japanese touches and 70 seats. It is a fully indoor lounge, and the view comes through the tower's glass, from daylight over the palace greenery to the lit skyline after dark.
Afternoon tea is the signature, created by est Pastry Chef Michele Abbatemarco with Executive Sous-Chef Kensuke Kuze, and the menu changes with the seasons. A SABOE tea service adds Japanese teas brewed at the table, including sencha and bancha. The all-day a la carte menu lists a club sandwich with bacon, avocado and egg among its signatures, alongside matcha chosen by the tea sommelier and awabancha, and snacks join the menu from 6:30 pm.
Live music plays in short evening sets from 7:00 pm. From 6:30 pm the lounge takes evening seat reservations that hold a table for two hours, a good fit for a drink before or after dinner in the hotel. The dress code is smart casual.
