One-Michelin-star restaurant on Ekamai 10 that also holds a Michelin Green Star for sustainability
GOAT - full name The Goat, Greatest Of All Time - is a one-Michelin-star restaurant on Ekamai 10 that also holds a Michelin Green Star for sustainability, a rare double for a room this personal. Chef Parkorn "Tan" Kosiyabong opened it in 2020 and has since built it into one of Bangkok's most distinctive contemporary tables.
The setting is a restored Sino-Portuguese townhouse with high ceilings and boldly colored interiors, folding in traditional Thai elements. The result is intimate and characterful, a world away from the hotel-tower fine dining that dominates the city, with a rooftop garden growing herbs and edible flowers overhead.
The cooking is deliberately offbeat, weaving Thai, Chinese and Western influences around a strict commitment to 100 percent local ingredients sourced from small farmers, fishermen and producers. The menu is a chef-led progression that shifts with what those suppliers bring in, so provenance and season drive every plate.
Sustainability is structural, not decorative: trimmings are fermented or composted, oil is reused, and little leaves the kitchen as waste. Intimate and ideas-driven, GOAT rewards a curious diner - book ahead, as the small room fills, and come ready to be surprised.
