Juksunchae made history in the 2026 Michelin Guide as Thailand's first Korean restaurant to win a star
Juksunchae made history in the 2026 Michelin Guide as Thailand's first Korean restaurant to win a star, a rare and refined Korean table in a city dominated by Thai and Japanese fine dining. The kitchen is led by chef Henry Lee, who reworks traditional Korean flavors into a modern, omakase-style progression - delicate, sophisticated and quietly precise.
Juksunchae is built around an intimate counter that looks straight into the open kitchen, the format suited to Henry Lee's omakase-style menu. It keeps the focus tight on the chef and the plate, closer to a private counter than a conventional restaurant.
The menu is a tasting sequence of visually striking, carefully composed dishes that reach back into Korean tradition and then push it forward. Signatures such as octopus tubu jigae, truffle mandu and a crab bibimbap show the balance the kitchen is after - familiar comfort reworked with fine-dining discipline.
This is one of the harder tables in the city to secure, and it rewards planning. Book well ahead, arrive ready for the full omakase experience, and treat it as a destination Korean meal, not a casual dinner.
