Deeply personal restaurant of chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier on Sathorn Soi 10
Maison Dunand is the deeply personal restaurant of chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier, a Savoyard who spent years leading Le Normandie at the Mandarin Oriental to two Michelin stars before opening his own house in 2023. Set on Sathorn Soi 10 in Bang Rak, it earned a Michelin star of its own that same year for a menu rooted in the cuisine of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps.
The setting is unusual for the city: two wood-framed houses built as a little chalet, inspired directly by the Alpine homes of the Savoie region. The effect is cozy and enveloping, a mountain retreat improbably tucked into a Bangkok soi, and it seats only a handful of guests at a time.
The cooking is a polished contemporary tasting menu that threads together Alpine memories, Breton holidays and a well-traveled career, each course delicate but sure-footed. The cellar leans into Alsace and Savoie with real conviction, and a high point arrives on wheels: a trolley bearing more than twenty cheeses, mostly French, dotted with carefully chosen local finds.
With its tiny seating count and chalet intimacy, it is one of the most personal Alpine fine-dining rooms in Bangkok. Reserve well in advance, and come hungry for a long, immersive tasting, not a quick dinner.
