New York Steakhouse has been a Bangkok institution since 2001, set inside the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit Soi 2
New York Steakhouse has been a Bangkok institution since 2001, set inside the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit Soi 2, a two-minute walk from the Ploenchit and Nana BTS stations. It sets out to recreate a classic Manhattan chophouse and nails the brief, from the room to the service.
The dining room deals in dark wood, oversized leather chairs and monochrome photographs of American cities, a clubby, old-school setting matched by bespoke, attentive service. It is the kind of place built to make an occasion feel like an occasion.
The kitchen centers on premium cuts and chops, with beef imported from Australia, Japan, New Zealand and the United States, rounded out by seasonal sides, seafood and a carefully curated wine list. This is traditional steakhouse cooking done properly.
A consistent presence in the Michelin Guide since 2018, it has held its reputation for quality and polish for more than two decades. Come for a formal celebration or a business dinner that needs to impress, and book ahead for the prime evening slots.
