Regional Thai signature restaurant of Capella Bangkok, set right
Phra Nakhon is the regional Thai signature restaurant of Capella Bangkok, set right on the Chao Phraya riverfront in one of the city's most refined hotels. Built as a conservatory set in a lush garden and flanked by mature trees, it is among the calmer and more serene riverside dining rooms in a city full of them - a genuine retreat from the noise outside.
The kitchen is led by chef Kannika, who has cooked in luxury hotels across the region and leans on home-style and regional Thai recipes, many drawn from family traditions. A good deal of the produce comes from Capella's own kitchen garden or small local growers, giving the cooking a grounded, seasonal honesty.
The menu ranges from light starters through northern curries to southern-leaning mains, showcasing dishes from across Thailand instead of a single region. It is comfort cooking rendered with real polish, built on family recipes and seasonal ingredients.
It is a refined, unhurried riverside choice, ideal for a leisurely Thai lunch in the garden light or a gentle dinner by the water. Book a table toward the river, come without a rush, and let the pace of the setting set the tone.
