Saneh Jaan holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide for its refined take on Thai classics
Saneh Jaan holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide for its refined take on Thai classics, served in the Sindhorn Building near Ploenchit in the Witthayu and Sindhorn area. It is one of the more comfortable, welcoming ways into classical royal Thai fine dining in central Bangkok, rooted in heritage instead of reinvention.
The room is elegant and softly lit, hung with Thai art, the kind of setting that suits both a special occasion and an unhurried, considered dinner. The mood is gracious and calm, letting the cooking take the lead.
The kitchen works from lovingly made recipes drawn from Thai royal and regional archives, including dishes once favored by the royal family. Highlights lean on precision and balance: crispy rice vermicelli with river prawn, a royal recipe dating to the reign of King Rama V, and stir-fried pork rind with chili, salted egg and kaffir lime, all built to be eaten with jasmine rice.
You can order a la carte or take the set menu, and either way it delivers vintage Thai recipes with careful, traditional technique. Book ahead for dinner, and come ready to explore dishes that rarely appear elsewhere in the city.
