Sushi Zo brings LA and New York pedigree to Athenee Tower in Bangkok
Sushi Zo brings the pedigree of its acclaimed Los Angeles and New York counters to Athenee Tower on Wireless Road. Its rice-forward omakase has built a devoted, celebrity-studded following, and the small, private room keeps the experience genuinely personal.
The setting is spare and focused, the kind of counter where nothing distracts from the fish and the hands preparing it. This is single-minded omakase: there is no menu to choose from, only the chef's intent for that day.
Expect more than sixteen courses of seasonal fish flown in from Japan and served in Zo's distinctive style. The rice is made with a specific imported Japanese water and served close to body temperature, and the kitchen famously forgoes soy sauce entirely - each piece arrives already seasoned to the chef's exact intent, meant to be eaten the moment it is set down.
It is a high-end, precise sushi experience in central Bangkok, built entirely around surrender to the chef and not customization. Reservations open in 30-day windows, with new dates released daily at midnight; book your seating - lunch, the early dinner or the later one - arrive on time, and let the counter set the pace.
