Baoli sits on the sand at J1 Beach in Jumeirah 1, one of the newer beachfront dining addresses in Dubai. The restaurant, pool and beach club share one site, built around Executive Chef Omar Basiony's kitchen, which runs coastal French and Mediterranean cooking with Japanese technique layered through the menu.
The layout splits between a pool side with sunbeds, gazebos, pool islands and pool suites, and a stretch of beach sunbeds toward the water. Inside, the Moon Room runs as a speakeasy and the Sunset Lounge holds its own separate seating, each with its own mood after dark.
Dress runs chic and dressy, with no open sandals or shorts for men. Lunch welcomes children from age four Sunday through Thursday, with a minimum age of 12 for Friday and Saturday lunch. Dinner runs two seatings, the first for guests 16 and over, the second 21 and over. The restaurant is open Sunday through Wednesday from 1pm to 1am, and Thursday through Saturday from 1pm to 2am.
