Amelia occupies a high floor of Address Sky View in Downtown Dubai. The kitchen cooks Nikkei, the Japanese-Peruvian style threaded here with Mediterranean accents, and builds it into shareable plates meant for grazing across a long evening.
The interior runs retro-futuristic throughout, a steampunk-inspired take on aviation-era machinery and elegance that carries from the dining room through the bar and lounge areas.
From the raw side, order the hamachi tiradito with ponzu, green chili and chives, the sake nikkei ceviche with salmon and truffle ponzu, or the wagyu tataki with ponzu, mizuna and sesame. The taco cone arrives with lobster, yuzu kosho mayo and tobiko, and mains run to the Machu Picchu wagyu tenderloin and a grilled sea bass with shallots and aji yuzu.
A First Flight set menu runs daily from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for guests who want to start the evening early, and Monday nights bring The Ritual, a dinner-and-DJ format that runs later. The private Voyage room gives groups their own space within the lounge. Amelia runs daily from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM, and dress is smart casual.
