Il Gattopardo is an Italian restaurant on the 51st floor of ICD Brookfield Place in the Dubai International Financial Centre, the Dubai outpost of the original on Albemarle Street in Mayfair, London. The Dubai room opened in December 2024, with Executive Chef Massimo Pasquarelli, trained in Abruzzo, running the kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling windows put the dining room level with the upper half of the Burj Khalifa.
The interior runs to Art Deco detailing, deep reds and blues against dark wood and brass, styled after Italy's postwar golden era, not a glass Gulf tower. A resident DJ plays through the lounge and bar, moving from Italian pop and swing standards toward a livelier set later in the night, so the room shifts from a dinner crowd to a later bar crowd without changing address.
The a la carte menu runs through raw, pasta, fish, meat and pizzette sections. Signatures include stracciatella agnolotti in roasted tomato cream with 24-month Parmesan, spaghettone with hand-picked white crab and Amalfi lemon, half native lobster tagliatelle, a Vercelli veal Milanese with anchovy and caper brown butter, and a 350g veal tomahawk with Fontina and shaved white truffle.
The lounge and bar run daily from noon to 1:30 am, with lunch from noon and dinner from 7 pm to midnight, covering business lunches through to a later Italian-disco crowd.
