KIRA is a Mediterranean and Japanese restaurant inside Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab on Umm Suqeim 3, Jumeirah Road, open since March 2025. The kitchen describes its approach as a culinary alchemy of Japanese technique and Mediterranean warmth, built around light, balanced, bright flavors served family style for the table to share.
The dining room pairs hand-made decor with warm terracotta accents and a shifting palette of light and color drawn from Mediterranean and Japanese design language. An adjoining Bar and Lounge offers a quieter extension of the main room, and the address is shared with LITT Bar Club, a separate late-night lounge run alongside KIRA.
The a la carte menu opens with a raw bar of O-Toro tartar with caviar, salmon crudo in shiso and hazelnut vinaigrette, and Japanese wagyu carpaccio, then moves into mains in Mediterranean izakaya style: Chilean seabass risotto, smoked Wagyu short rib with a Japanese barbecue glaze, and a 1.2kg Wagyu tomahawk off the steak counter. An omakase menu and a sushi and sashimi selection cover the Japanese side, alongside a Sunset to Share menu served 5 to 7pm.
Dress code is elegant chic, with sportswear, beachwear, and open shoes turned away for gentlemen, and guests under 14 are not seated after 8pm. Weekend Lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm adds live music and DJ sets, and reservations are recommended for terrace and window tables given demand.
