A Michelin Guide-listed Japanese restaurant on level 9 of FIVE LUXE JBR in Dubai.
Ronin is a Japanese restaurant on the ninth floor of FIVE LUXE JBR on The Walk in Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai. The kitchen is led by Chef Sin Keun Choi, known as SK, and the restaurant was named Opening of the Year in the MICHELIN Guide Dubai ceremony and carries a spot in the Guide's Dubai selection.
The room takes its cues from Irezumi tattoo art and samurai folklore, dining under roughly 500 red lanterns among pagoda-style tables and tiled walls. A live-fire teppanyaki station and sushi bar sit at the center of the room, with a terrace looking out on Ain Dubai and the Arabian Gulf, plus a private dining room for smaller groups.
The menu runs from an omakase counter to a la carte robatayaki, sushi and teppanyaki. Signatures include Wagyu truffle gyoza, BBQ miso black cod, A4 wagyu caviar carpaccio, and a Watarigani soft-shell crab maki, with a miso molten chocolate closing the menu. Sushi Thursdays runs a dedicated raw-bar format, and weekend service adds a Saturday brunch with the same terrace views.
Ronin is open nightly from 6pm to 2am. Dress code is smart casual, with flip-flops and swimwear turned away at the door. Reservations run through Ronin's own SevenRooms booking flow, and terrace and pagoda tables are the first to book out over the weekend.
