Thailand's December Festival Run
Wonderfruit, Tomorrowland Thailand and EDC Thailand run within eighteen days of each other this December, and all three route through Bangkok. How to plan the run.
Thailand's December festival run
Three festivals of international scale land in Thailand inside eighteen days this
December. Two of them are an hour apart in the same province. All three route their
international crowds through the same airport.
- Wonderfruit, December 3-7, at The Fields at Siam Country Club near Pattaya
- Tomorrowland Thailand, December 11-13, at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi
- EDC Thailand, December 18-20, at Rhythm Park in Laguna Phuket

This has not happened before. EDC moved off its January dates for 2026, Tomorrowland chose
December for its first Asian edition, and Wonderfruit has always sat in the first week of
the month. The three landed in the same window by accident, and the effect is that
Thailand now holds something close to a festival season rather than three separate events.
Confirm dates and availability with each festival directly before booking around them.
What it means practically
Bangkok is the hinge. Wonderfruit and Tomorrowland are both in Chonburi province, a
two-hour drive southeast of the city. EDC is a ninety-minute domestic flight south.
Long-haul routes land at Suvarnabhumi regardless of which one you are going to, and none
of the three sites is a place you would choose to spend the nights either side.
So the shape is the same in all three cases: Bangkok on the way in, the festival, Bangkok
or a beach on the way out. Tomorrowland has made that explicit by building four days in
Bangkok into its own travel package.
Two consequences worth planning around.
December rates are already the annual peak. Bangkok is in high season through the
whole month for reasons that have nothing to do with music. Three festivals on top of that
tightens the first three weeks considerably. Beds first, everything else after.
Restaurant availability is the real constraint, not hotels. Bangkok has a lot of
rooms. It has a small number of tables people cross the world for, and December is when
everyone wants them.

Sorn needs weeks of notice in a normal month.
Gaggan,
Potong,
Le Du and
Nusara are the others in that tier. If a specific
one of those is the point of the trip, that booking sets the dates rather than the other
way round.
Doing two of them
The gap between Wonderfruit and Tomorrowland is three days. Between Tomorrowland and EDC
it is four. Both are enough, and the middle of the run is where Bangkok earns its place.
The pairing that works best is Tomorrowland and EDC, because the week between them is a
clean Bangkok week and the second leg ends at a beach. Wonderfruit into Tomorrowland is
harder work than it looks. Wonderfruit is a camping festival and Tomorrowland is not, so
you are unpacking and repacking into two different kinds of trip with three days in
between.

Whichever pair you take, the days in between are the ones that make the trip good rather
than merely long. Bangkok runs its clubs to 2am as standard, and the middle two weeks of
December are when the touring artists are in the region anyway.
Spaceplus is the room most likely to run
something festival-adjacent, Onyx and
Route 66 are the large-format pair on RCA, and
VOID Club is the techno end.

For the daylight half, the rooftops are the category Bangkok wins outright.
Tichuca in Thonglor is the one to
lead with, Sky Bar at lebua is the famous one,
and Above Riva faces Wat Arun for the quieter
version.
The three, individually
Each festival has its own gateway guide, because the trips are not interchangeable.
Wonderfruit is four days of camping, art and
farm-to-table kitchens on a field near Pattaya. Music is one part of a wider thing. The
Bangkok night that matters is the one after.
Tomorrowland Thailand is the first Asian
edition of the largest electronic festival in the world, and the only one of the three with
no campsite at all. Everyone hotels and shuttles, and the official package starts with
three nights in Bangkok.
EDC Thailand is the island one. Bangkok on the way
in, a domestic hop to Phuket, and the option of staying south afterward rather than coming
back through the city.
Tell our Bangkok partner which festival you are going to and how many nights you want
around it, and they will build the city half to fit the drive or the flight.
